Migration west

After spending three years in New York, I recently moved to Seattle with my partner, Lauren Frohne. The journey west was a long one involving multiple trips between Seattle and Brooklyn and a 10-day Southwest camping and hiking trip in the middle of driving cross-country.

Though we officially moved Nov. 1, 2014, I have only spent about 5 weeks in Seattle due to work and travel. I’ll be editing and selecting images from the trip in the coming months, as well as developing a few from the ol’ Hassie. For now, I leave you with an iPhone image from “The Subway” in the less developed region of Zion National Park. It was one of our more difficult hikes of the trip, but worth the 7-hour hike up and down stream to see this natural tunnel formed from flood waters.

Though the emerald pools were freezing, I couldn't resist a quick dip before hiking out.
